Repairs the closest Chaos Data to Rin.

If Chaos Data can grant the effect that contains item effects, remove the effects and spawn the contained items. Otherwise, remove Chaos Data and randomly enhance one of Rin's following 6 abilities:

Power

For each enhancement, Rin fires one additional tear when shooting.

Health

On first enhancement, Rin becomes can possess health but cannot have Red Heart containers. And gains +1 Soul Hearts and +1 extra lives. Any item that gives Red Heart containers will grant a Soul Heart instead.

On second enhancement, Rin becomes can have Red Heart containers. And gains +1 full Red Heart container and +1 extra lives.

For each subsequent enhancement, grants +2 extra lives.

Bomb

For each enhancement, grants +5 bombs. Increases 100% damage and 25% blast radius of Rin's bombs.

On first enhancement, additionally grants immunity to explosions.

Error

For each enhancement, upon taking down the next floor, spawns an additional I AM ERROR room, whenever possible.

Code

For each subsequent enhancement, increases the maximum number of effects Chaos Data can provide by 1.

Modulation and demodulation

On first enhancement, enemies have a 10% chance to devolve into weaker variants upon spawning, akin to D10. Any pickups spawned when entering or clearing a room have a 10% chance to double or be rerolled into rarer pickups.

For each subsequent enhancement, all chance increase by 10%, up to a maximum of 80%.


This item contributes towards the Bookworm transformation. Collecting 3 items from this set will make Isaac fire an extra tear 25% of the time.
